There are many sizes to choose from but basically there two family tents designs that are most popular.  Cabin tents and dome tents.  Dome tents have sloping sides and tend to perform better in foul weather.  Typically dome tents are constructed with heavier duty materials and the flys generally cover the tent better and repel water more efficiently.   Large cabin tents have vertical walls and are generally more roomy and better suited for fair weather conditions.  If you want to bring in a camp chair and even a small table for some indoor activities then a cabin tent is the perfect choice.  Both have their place and there seems to be a split in popularity.
